Summer Lawn Parties
Open Hands Midway sponsors Two Summer Lawn Parties.
Our first one was Friday, June 24,2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It was attended by over 350 people. We gave away food, prizes, clothes, household items and furniture. We give thanks to Gethsemane Lutheran Church for providing the food and helping us with volunteers that week.
The second party was on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. We gave away food, prizes, clothes, household items, and furniture. We thank St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove for providing so much of the “give away” articles and the many volunteers to make this possible. We also had children’s activities supplied by Woodcrest Church in Eagan and Health Screening by Open Cities Health Care.
